Central High School Junior Fights Bullying on the National Scene


Central High School junior Sandy Wilson is the Georgia Representative to the Be Strong Stop Bullying global organization. Sandy is an exceptional student, academically and socially. She is a member of the Central High School Drama Team and recently assisted in the direction and production of a Bullying Awareness and Prevention video.

“Something as simple as saying ‘good morning’ can brighten a person’s day and change the world,” said Sandy. She continued, “As the Georgia Representative, it is my mission to complete random acts of kindness each day. I hope to inspire my classmates to do the same.”

“We are very proud of Sandy,” stated Guidance Counselor and Be Strong sponsor Ms. Rhea Zerr-Shepard, “she represents Central High School with poise and class and was a perfect selection to represent the state of Georgia.”

Be Strong is a national organization focused on stopping bullying in our schools and on our campuses. Students like Sandy represent assertiveness, self-advocacy, and cooperativeness within the community, supporting individualism and the greater-good on a daily basis. The mission of Be Strong is to create awareness for students and parents and empower youth.
