A new, dual-branded hotel is now under construction in Newnan. Construction has started on a Sleep Inn / Main Stay Suites which is located at 3 Amlajack Boulevard, directly behind RaceTrac.
Demolition on an existing building at the site began on June 26th of 2017. The 35,000-square-foot hotel is being developed by Riverside Developments, LLC, based in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
According to plans obtained by The Newnan Menu, the hotel is planned to be a four-story building with 60 units. The project’s total cost is estimated at $3.2 million and will include completely new underground utilities and grading. Developers hope to complete the project by June of 2018.
In other news: A Comfort Inn and Suites is planned directly behind (Bledsoe Rd) this particular Hotel. Those construction plans were just released and the bidding process has begun.
