Ollie’s Bargain Outlet, with locations in Carrollton, Fayetteville, Mableton and Smyrna, initially planned to open a store in Douglasville back in mid-2015. The plans were put on hold for unknown reasons, so Bargain Hunt filled the void when Ollie’s scrapped their Douglasville plans. A few weeks ago we received word from the city that Ollie’s Bargain Outlet has revived their plans to build in Douglasville. We have reviewed the plans, and Ollie’s will be opening at The Landing At Arbor Place in the old Circuit City building that has sat vacant since the retailer folded nationally back in 2007. The plans call for completely overhauling the building facade as well as gutting the inside of the building to create a more open sales floor.
