(Carrollton, Ga. – February 25, 2015) T​he Georgia Poetry Society’s Margery Carlson Poetry Contest for Grades 1-5 has chosen two students from Providence Elementary to recognize. Brooke Williams was awarded 2nd place for her poem, “Positivity,” and Kailyn Strickland was awarded 1st Honorable Mention for her poem, “The War.” Both girls will be recognized on April 25th at the Classic Center in Athens, GA.
